Maumelle, Ark. (September 20, 2022) –

The City of Maumelle has been selected as an International Economic Development Council (IEDC) 2022 Excellence Award Recipient for its work during 2022 Economic Development Week. Maumelle was awarded bronze in the category of Innovation of Economic Development Week. May 9th-13th, 2022 was Economic Development Week in the City of Maumelle and around the United States.

The City of Maumelle used innovative tactics to bring awareness to local businesses, educating the citizens on the role of economic development while creating positive engagement with the public. IEDC received over 500 submissions from the United States and four additional countries around the world.
